Team Tay Update: Dr Kidney

Yesterday,Taylor had her 1st apt with Dr Kidney.
We had labs to do before noon, and apt was at 2.
We showed Tay around the hospital, this was her first time seeing it as a visitor and not a patient. What happens?? Tays sugar drops to 81. She got real pale,I noticed that right away, she always says she feels fine..once her sugar comes up..pink color comes back into her cheeks.
I cant let her eat the hospital food, dont know the carb count in their food,so we packed lunches :)
Dr Kidney said we can stop the tums ,her calicum level has improved. The only thing that showed up on the blood that is a huge concern still is the kidneys. Tay has to drink 2 to 3 liters a day..make sure she keeps up with her carb and insulin at each meal, and her Lantus injection at bedtime.
This Monday coming,we have to be at Akron Childrens at 7am for a 4 hour long visit...meeting all the docs again,Some daid they met me in the PICU unit when we were there,I dont even remember meeting most of them and told them this, the docs said not to worry about it,we had a lot of, stress, and worries about Tay pulling through.
So,hopefully once her sugar stables..we can go back to Planet Fitness and work on her driving classes again.
