When we were at a local grocery store,my twins found a box,of sausage stating it was the kids used at fairs,so I brought a box.
They said it tasted just as good as the fairs!! I added green peppers and onions. The sauce is the battle! Im not finding anything close to what is used and even looked at recipes online.
I m a vegaterian,so Im going by the foodback my kids give me,so Im goin to keep workin on it
False results..new results on Tay
When Taylor went into the diabetic coma and was in bad shape ,all her organs were shutting down the doctors did the testing and said only type 2 diabeties put you into this stage.
So...after 2 months of seeing all the specialists, the diabetic doc says..no not type 1.But Type 2 diabeties that she can see from the blood work
Tay has lost over 30lbs and the doc said if she can keep the weight off...she may be able to go off the insulin if her body can heal and go back to makin its own insulin. She will also have to be careful on what she does but so far we are still workin out at Planet Fitness and following a strict carb count. No pop at all! Water mostly is drink of choice and shes allowed to add sugar free deink mixes to it.
Dust off the cob webs
Yikes! I havent posted in months!!

Last I posted my oldest went into diabetic coma and, since then we have been workin hard on getting her back on track and its been going, good!!
We were able to be discharged from the kidney doctor but if anything is seen in lab works on check ups we are right back to seeing her.

Team Tay Update: Dr Kidney
We had labs to do before noon, and apt was at 2.
We showed Tay around the hospital, this was her first time seeing it as a visitor and not a patient. What happens?? Tays sugar drops to 81. She got real pale,I noticed that right away, she always says she feels fine..once her sugar comes up..pink color comes back into her cheeks.
I cant let her eat the hospital food, dont know the carb count in their food,so we packed lunches :)
Dr Kidney said we can stop the tums ,her calicum level has improved. The only thing that showed up on the blood that is a huge concern still is the kidneys. Tay has to drink 2 to 3 liters a day..make sure she keeps up with her carb and insulin at each meal, and her Lantus injection at bedtime.
This Monday coming,we have to be at Akron Childrens at 7am for a 4 hour long visit...meeting all the docs again,Some daid they met me in the PICU unit when we were there,I dont even remember meeting most of them and told them this, the docs said not to worry about it,we had a lot of, stress, and worries about Tay pulling through.
So,hopefully once her sugar stables..we can go back to Planet Fitness and work on her driving classes again.
Living With The Unknow : Diabetes
My 16 yr old daughter is now a confirmed diabetic,we were tested a few years ago and was negative.
This is our story :
In January 2017,we joined Planet Fitness, worked out every day. Taylor started to weight and lost 10lbs. We worked out on a Friday, she said her mouth was dry,we thought she didnt have enough water from our workout. Went to Planet Fitness the next day,no problems. Sunday came,Tay thought she was coming down with the
stomach bug since her twins sisters just had the bug.
That Wednesday,Tay asked to go to the ER,we went to see what was taking her so long to get ready, our nightmare started right then ans there. Taylor was half on the bed, half on the floor unresponsive, eyes rolled in the back of head, heavy labored breathing..we yelled and nothing. I call 911
I rode in the squad with Taylor to our local hospital. Er doc tells me,she in diabetic dka..english please!!! Diaberit coma and shes in bad shape. They couldnt treat my daughter at the hospital, she's a minor we need to get to Akron Children's Hospital,a 45 minute drive. The local hospital got a squad to come get Tay.
We arrive at Akron Childrens around 11am in PICU Tays unresponsive, labored breathing on oxygen. We had a nurse on 12 hr shift with us in the room, never left us. We never knew the signs of diabetes, nor that Taylor had it.
Around 2am my first night, doc comes in about every 15 mins reallt worried, shes not showing signs of improving, she was on 8 ivs, even ivs going into her hand, and neck.Insulin drip was also going..
2 days of not knowing if I was going to lose my daughter. Kidneys were in bad shap, thyroid, panceras all shut down and swelling on the brain.
Friday, signs of improvement..waking up but not the Tay we know. The swelling on her brain was making her words slurred and couldnt answer simple questions.
We would end up spending the next 6 and ahalf days in the PICU unit. We moved 5 times on that floor!! Our 6th and final move was to the 6th floor with kids closer in Tays age.
We now have to follow a strict diet, which isnt too bad. Insulin has been in the good before meals so no corrector is needed.
These are the photos of our journey at Akron Children's.
We have a long road ahead of us,but at least Tay is alive !!!
Couponing Part 2
I haven't been able to find them in my papers, but some have said they got some on these holiday weekends. There's websites to show what coupons should be out. Locations vary on these coupons.
My local library has a coupon basket. People donate coupons to the basket for those who are into couponing, make one very happy ! If your library or local grocery stores don't have one, never hurts to ask if one can be set up and you can check on it to help empty the expired coupons..but don't always throw those expired coupons away. Military families over seas on US bases CAN use expired coupons on base stores. I haven't sent any over seals lately, the family that I was sending too,has moved back to the states and can't use them here.
Some times you can make facebook groups for local fellow couponers and meet weekly or montly. Share coupons with one another, sales and help those who want to learn to coupon. When I did this,we took a charity and donated items they needed. A coupon may be a piece of paper, but you never know who you can help with that !
Tips for couponing
Lunch Time ( Seagulls Eating )
On the lake, there was a pair of Seagulls swimming , one jumped up in the air wasn't sure what was going on at first. It appeared, that a fish must have hit their feet and he/she caught it and enjoyed it for lunch.
Tryin Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee
I am a iced coffee lover, especially French Vanilla. I have been on the hunt for these new ones out from Dunkin Dunuts.
After the first drink,I got a headache right away..drank a lil more and dont care for the nausea feelin I got. May r another day,but I cant finish this bottle.
I willstick to my Starbucks
First Impression of Planet Fitness
It opened yesterday and I was thinkin it was goin to be packed this morning,it wasnt. Maybe 5 other people were there and 2 employees. Very friendly and clean equipment to use. Love how each work out has a small tv to watch! Helped passed the time. I am a patient of both knees replaced ,the right one is still healing so I am limited on what I can use to work out on but comtempt on what I can do at the moment.!
